Your Safety During the Pandemic

As we start to travel again, it is important to continue to take precautions. Wear our masks. Socially distance. Eat outside at restaurants when possible. And stay at accommodations that also take every precaution for your safety.

Bed and breakfasts tend to offer a higher-level experience, and scrupulous cleanliness was always a key component of our mindset. Sanitized dishes and laundry. Deep cleaning between every guest.

So now the main difference now is frequency of cleaning. Like wiping down frequently touched surfaces in common areas several times during the day. And the extra precaution of UV-light disinfection of every room between guests.

Our housekeeping is certified on COVID-19 Precautions for Hotels, a course offered by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, and we follow the AHLA Safe Stay Guidelines.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we have had to eliminate a fun feature of a bed and breakfast: the community breakfast where all the guests can mingle and compare notes on things to do. Instead we offer our delicious 3-course breakfast in your choice of location: the dining room, without others, the patio, the deck in the boxwood garden, or in your room in the Coyner or Gorsuch rooms. The outdoor spaces are heated, and will be pleasant well into fall.

Take precautions getting here, and know you’ll have a Safe Stay!

*EDIT 10/1/22*: As we start coming out of the pandemic we no longer require masks, though we are willing to wear them on request. We are now starting to ask guests whether they would like to share the table with other guests, and continue to respect those who ask not to.
